Eating a healthy diet is very important to have good health. Not having a good diet can cause diseases.

Having good health is essential to be able to carry out day-to-day activities with energy. A healthy diet will help us to have a healthy life.

Food is more than a necessity; it is also a pleasure and a way of expressing ourselves. A healthy diet must satisfy these three dimensions and keep a balance. In today’s society, we find a wide and growing variety of foods to choose from for food. 

Given this variety, however, many times, we find ourselves unable to choose the most correct for our health and that of our family. Sometimes this wide availability of food also leads us to overeat and choose the wrong nutrients.

Benefits of healthy eating.

The attributes that characterize a healthy diet are security, variety, balance, moderation, and that it is appetizing. These attributes have been joined in recent years by another, a significant one: sustainability. That is, the diet must not only be healthy for us, but also for the environment or environment where we live.

Healthy eating helps protect health and prevent ailment. Many studies relate to the lack of a healthy diet with enduring diseases (diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular, cancer, etc.). Thus representing that inappropriate eating is one of the leading responsible factors in the progress of these diseases.

A healthy diet permits our body to function normally, on the one hand, to cover our basic physiological needs, and on the other hand, decrease the risk of short and long-term ailments. It is not a direct cause-effect affiliation, but it does contribute to increasing the risk of the appearance and development of these diseases.

Importance of nutrition for health.

Good habits in our diet are one of the fundamental pillars to enjoy excellent health and general features of complete well-being, proof of this is the emphasis made by the World Health Organization, with different statements that extend throughout our life and which is divided into different stages. 

Despite all this, many studies affirm that the lack of minerals and vitamins in our body, due to an incorrect diet, continues to be an increasing problem throughout the world.

To alleviate these deficiencies, the purchase and use of fresh and seasonal food are completely essential. We must know and be aware that pre-cooked meals contain a higher number of fats and calories, which exacerbate obesity or overweight problems.

To finish, having healthy lifestyle habits and doing a little exercise regularly, even if it is merely going for a walk or walking every day for 30-60 minutes, we will greatly improve our quality of life today and, more importantly, the future.
